How feed-in braids work
Feed-in braids build the braid by gradually adding extension hair into a growing cornrow for a seamless root and controlled thickness. This service is offered at shoulder-length and shaped to sit comfortably at that length. The listed session takes 60 MINUTES and starts at $220, which covers styling labor but not the extension hair.
Hair is not included. Contact us before buying hair so we can confirm type, color, and quantity. If you want us to purchase hair, you must pay full hair cost plus a $25 shopping fee before we buy; hair payments are nonrefundable after purchase. Optional add-ons include bra-strap length +$40, waist +$80, butt +$150, and curly/boho styling +$60.
Preparing for your appointment
Studio 818 is on Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks, convenient for commuters using US-101 and local transit. We accommodate after-work slots and weekend or mid-morning bookings to fit school drop-offs and professional schedules. Tell us your preferred time and bring reference photos so we can confirm feasibility with your daily routine and travel plans.
Before your appointment confirm whether you will supply hair or want us to purchase it. Shoulder-length is the standard for this service; the listed add-ons increase length and cost. Extra-thick or specialty hair can raise the total, so please send a clear photo of your hair or the extensions for a firm price confirmation before the appointment.
Aftercare and styling expectations
In Sherman Oaks’ warm, dry summers and mild winters, feed-in braids hold well with active outdoor routines and commuter schedules, but styling choices affect daily maintenance. The final look and how it behaves in local weather depend on the extension type, braid size, and whether you chose curly or boho styling as an add-on.
For specific care and longevity expectations, discuss routine suggestions during your 60 MINUTES appointment. We’ll advise on products and daily handling appropriate for your hair type and the extensions you bring or purchase. Bring photos and any product questions so recommendations match your lifestyle and the commute- and park-friendly activities common here.
