A standard Box braids large appointment at Studio 818 is scheduled for 300 MINUTES and delivers shoulder-length, large-sized braids. The final look and feel are shaped by braid size, your natural hair density, and any length add-ons you choose. The starting price for this service is listed as $200; hair cost is separate and not included in that starting price.
Plan for a focused, full-session appointment. Because braid size and hair amount affect both time and weight, we confirm specifics before your booking. If you have a desired photo or a reference length, bring it or send it ahead so we can estimate time, recommend add-ons, and confirm whether extra-thick hair or additional material will change the plan.
Length choices and add-ons
You can upgrade the shoulder-length result with paid add-ons: bra-strap length is +$40, waist length is +$80, and butt length is +$150. Curly or boho hair styling for a textured finish is an optional +$60. These add-ons change both the finished silhouette and the amount of purchased hair required, so please choose and confirm them before the appointment.
Hair itself is a separate cost. If you want Studio 818 to buy hair for you, the full hair cost plus a $25 shopping fee must be paid before we purchase. Hair payments are nonrefundable after purchase. Extra-thick or specialty hair may increase cost; send a clear photo of your desired fullness so we can confirm pricing ahead of time.

We also accommodate weekend and mid-morning bookings that fit school drop-offs and professional schedules. If you travel from Encino, Studio City, North Hollywood, Van Nuys, Toluca Lake, or Tarzana, mention that when booking so we can plan timing around your commute.
