Technique and construction details
Faux locs are installed by creating a secure base from your natural hair and attaching extension hair to form loc-like strands. The process involves planned sectioning, securing each section, and shaping the extensions so the finished locs fall and move naturally. A short consultation at the start helps set section size and color placement to match your goals.
The final look is determined by your natural hair texture, the size of each section, and the extension fiber chosen. Hair is not included with the service, so please contact the studio before buying extensions. If you want extra density or smaller sections, send a clear photo so we can confirm whether additional fees apply.
Length and upgrade options
Length affects both materials and handling during installation. Optional length upgrades are bra-strap +$40, waist +$80, and butt +$150; curly/boho styling is an additional +$60. Choosing longer lengths changes how much extension hair is required and may slightly alter sectioning to maintain balance and movement.
Because hair is not supplied, contact us before purchasing extensions so we can confirm the right type, color, and quantity. Local clients and commuters on US-101 will find Ventura Boulevard convenient for quick material pickups and drop-offs; coordinating before your appointment helps prevent delays and unexpected charges.
Appointment time and care
Appointments are scheduled for 360 MINUTES to allow time for consultation, sectioning, and installation. Actual time can vary with chosen length, section size, and density; longer or denser installs typically take more time. We offer after-work and mid-morning options to suit Sherman Oaks commuters and families with busy schedules.
Aftercare mainly focuses on low manipulation and protection at night—use a scarf or bonnet and avoid rough handling in the first days. If you want the curly/boho finish, add +$60 at booking. Send a clear photo before your appointment if you expect extra density or small sections so we can confirm total cost.
